India has traditionally been a very tolerant country, a country where different thoughts, different cultures have mixed, has been synthesis, has been absorption, all the best has been taken and all the worst has been rejected. And this has given him the strength. And secularism being the key to all this. His talks and lectures are always with an aim to strive to become the best cement between all communities in the sub-continent.

Asad got his basic education from Muslim Theological Seminary in India where he has been taught Islam and its all forms of scholarship as well as its comparison with other monotheistic and polytheistic religions.
